A fruity pineau
As a cognac producer with beautiful vines, Daniel BOUJU naturally offers you his Pineau des Charentes, a subtle marriage of cognac eau-de-vie and grape must. Our Pineau des Charentes is of course made from our Grande Champagne cognac and our grape must obtained during the harvest.
Pineau des Charentes must be aged for at least 18 months in oak barrels according to regulations. For this, we use old barrels that previously contained our cognac. It is during this phase that this liqueur wine acquires the last notes of its aromatic colour. But at Cognac Daniel BOUJU, we wait 4 years before marketing the first Pineau in our range. With a beautiful fresh straw color, it is limpid and brilliant, with intense aromas of white and yellow fruits. It envelops the palate with its sweet and fruity flavors.
Its 18% alcohol content makes it an excellent aperitif that we advise you to consume very cold, without ice so as not to distort the taste. Place your bottle of Pineau in your refrigerator a few hours before the aperitif so that it reaches an optimal temperature between 8°C and 10°C for tasting. It is also a popular culinary ingredient that can add elegance to countless savory or sweet dishes.
Our Pineau des Charentes is certified Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée because grape must and Cognac eaux-de-vie come from the same estate in the delimited region.
